Description brant 2002-11-04 21:14:18 UTC
I find it hard to distinguish black (general text) from purple (visited links).
The issue is that I cannot tell that the URL link is available in a IssueZilla bug.

The problem is that you specify text colors, but you do not specify a text color
for the visited links. My default is purple, so there is not enough contrast.
I recommend including a line specifying color for visited links.

This could also be classified as an accessibility issue that could
prevent adoption of Open Office due to Section 508.

moving to component website.

Hi
when I configured the colors I left it to the default: what your
browser is set for.
That is what most people wanted.
suggestion: change your browser's default color scheme. I have set
mine to red/blue and that works well.

Visited links for mose people are purple. That is the default in
Netscape, IE, and Mozilla. I am sure it is the default in others.
Perhaps an alternative style sheet could be specified that does not do
this.

Since this bug involved the style sheets, I validated them just to see
what it comes up with. The errors, if valid, should be fixed. Most
of the warnings are okay since most browsers interpret them to be
inherited if not explicitly specified. (Explicitly specifying inherit
does weird things in NS4. I would avoid it). Here is what I found
using validator.w3.org:
