Open Office takes FOREVER to load, and from time to time it even locks up the
system forcing me to reboot...

Thank you for using and supporting OOo.

Try checking to see if your computer has a resolvable domain name and
if your loopback device is setup and active.

Issue 9431 has some notes

Hi, which kernel does this machine have, in particular does it have
the O(1) scheduler changes, i.e. a 2.5 or patched 2.4?

Does 'top' show any processes using a lot of CPU?

Please try using the latest OOo 1.1 Rc4,
Your version already old enough, and many bug fixes since your version
and 1.1 RC4. If the problem still happend in 1.1 RC4 please report back
and Feel free to reopen it again.

As per previous posting: Verified -> Closed.
A Closed Issue is a Happy Issue (TM).
