Description michelezarri 2008-06-12 00:12:24 UTC
Tested on DEV300m16 and DEV300m17: OOo consistently crashes when inserting a
custom labelled caption.

To reproduce:
- open a new document
- Insert > Picture > from file > [choose a picture]
- right click on the picture and select anchor > as character
- right click on the picture and create a new Category (e.g. Figure)
- write some text in the Caption edit box
- press OK

Note that if the picture is anchored to the paragraph there seem to be no problem

Cheers,

Michele

May be a duplicate of 72077.

I checked with "3.0.0 Beta Multilingual version English UI WIN XP: [300m2
(Build9301)]" and can NOT confirm the reported effect. I will test m17 soon.

@michelezarri:
Pls. specify your OS and Platrofm!
May be a more specific step by step instruction might be helpful. Not "write
some text" but "Type 'Èçêtїe'" (for example).

Comment 4 Rainer Bielefeld 2008-06-12 07:13:19 UTC
I checked with "Ooo-dev 3.0.0 Beta Multilingual version German UI WIN XP:
[300m17 (Build9313)]" and CAN confirm the reported effect.

I proceeded as per original report, and OOo-dev. crashed after I pressed <OK> in
the caption dialogue. In the recovered document the caption text is missing,
instead a very big copy of the original image will be shown.

I will contribute a crash ID asap.
