Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 91757
Login fails if an email address, not a username, is entered at the login page
Last modified: 2008-11-06 20:58:35 UTC
At http://www.openoffice.org/servlets/Login?cookieCheck=on, "Username or email" is requested. However, when I enter my e-mail address which I used when registering, I cannot log in. Username works fine. It is probably worth either setting proper e-mail handling or removing that "...or email" part from the login prompt.
Hm, it works fine for me. Are you sure, you use the address from your profile http://www.openoffice.org/servlets/UserEdit
It does _not_ work here. Yes, I use my address from the profile, i.e. maksym.kozub@kozub.in.ua, and I get that "Invalid login" message. Checked again 2 minutes ago. When I use my login name and the same password, it works fine. In addition, it's a bit strange I didn't get any e-mail notification you marked this issue as resolved...
reassigning to support...
Hi Maksym Thank You for contacting CollabNet Support. We shall get back to you once I have adequate information. Thanks & Regards N Deepak Support Operations.
Hi Maksym Could you please try logging in once again using the same email address maksym.kozub@kozub.in.ua & let us know if it works. If you are still unable to login, please provide us with the screenshot. Thanks & Regards N Deepak Support Operations.
Sorry guys, there has been a funny mistake on my side. It turns out I entered an extra letter in my e-mail address the first time I tried to log in using that address. Since I have autocompletion set ON in my browser, that wrong version of the address was hinted every time, and I tried and used it to no avail without even noticing that extra letter in-between. Now I entered the address manually; it works, and, seeing two versions in the form "hint", I can now see that there was a wrong version with an extra letter. My apology again for overloading all of you with unnecessary checks.
