Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 92299
Inconsistent behavior within adjusted format options in Insert > Envelope
Last modified: 2013-04-19 13:46:50 UTC
Go to Insert > Envelope, then to the format tab and then pull the "Edit" menu down to "Paragraph". The paragraph spacing for the Addressee is set to 0.04" below paragraph. If this is changed to 0.00", it comes back to 0.04" the next time user goes to Insert > Envelope. Same for "space above" in the same pull down menu. However, the values under the format tab that do not come from the pull-down menus remain at their new values if they are changed (for example, Addressee and Sender positions and Size). Therefore, there is an inconsistency in the behavior of changes in the format options within Insert > Envelope.
Reassigned to HI.
Seems to be the same issue as discussed here: http://user.services.openoffice.org/en/forum/viewtopic.php?f=29&t=6618 Insert>Envelope menu overrides everything that could have been customized.
The issue discussed in the link is not the same. Contrary to what is reported in the linked issue, "everything that could be customized" does not revert back to the defaults. For example, contrary to what is reported in the other issue, the Envelope type and other values under the format tab stick with the new settings. Only the paragraph spacing for the Addressee, which is set to 0.04" below paragraph, and the options in "space above" in the same pull down menu, revert back if changed. These are set in the pull-down menus I originally described.
Do you confirm that if you set a custom format for the envelope, it's kept afterwards? NB: I'd tried myself also and I can reproduce the problem. Can you detail what are the steps for that (in the forum if you don't mind)? Thanks in advance.
