Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 92517
Table floater remains after deleting table
Last modified: 2017-05-20 11:33:18 UTC
Hi. - open a (blanl) draw document - insert a table: That the Table-floater is not displayed. - right-click over the table: The context menu includes the item position_and_size - de-select the table - re-select the table: Now the Table-floater comes up but the context menu dowsa not show size_and_position anymore. Found in: StarOffice 9 Beta BEB300m3 (Build:9328) (Linux)
correction: The context menu (when right-clicking the frame of the table) is completely missing after re-selecting the table.
I found another bug in the table feature: If the frame of a table is selected, the menu item Format/Area is enabled. But changing the color there seems not to change something in the table. I guess this should be only available if the cursor is placed within a cell. Strange here is also that the context menu for table cells does not contain "Area" (german: Fläche).
Please remember: one problem - one issue. Otherwise it will be hard to fix anything. Thanks.
Table floater problem comes up with a freshly inserted table, problem is not reproducible here. Right clicking into the table shows up the position and size entry in the context menu. If you right click when the cursor is blinking the position and size entry is missing, this is wanted behaviour.
Closed.
There ARE some focus bugs concerning this feature. Please try to reproduce the following steps which I can reproduce in StarOffice 9 Beta BEB300m3 (Build:9328) Windows and Linux: - open a (blank) draw document - insert a table - re-focus the table by clicking inside a table cell (cursor displayed) and then clicking the table frame (cursor vanishes) - press DEL -> The Table floater stays open until you click somewhere in the document
The bug (steps in comment above) still are reproduceable in OOo_3.0.0beta2_20080707_LinuxIntel_install_en-US_deb.tar.gz
Yes, this one is reproducible and different from the stuff described earlier. This would have been worth a new issue... And this wont make it into the 3.0 final, this ain't a showstopper. Please do not set any target unless you are 100% sure it is correct. Summary adapted, reset target. Reassigned.
It would be nice to have this feature bug free introduced in OOo 3.0.
Reset assigne to the default "issues@openoffice.apache.org".
