When I type "ç" in italic it tourns out in "Ã".

Version is 2.4.1

- Which OS?
- Which locale?
- Which keyboard layout?
- Which font is used?

Sorry I messed up with the bug report and forgot to mention all this stuff. My fault
OS is linux, both ubuntu and gentoo (kernel 2.6.26-r1)
Keybord layout is IT, locale is UTF8 and times-new-roman font.
Actually it happens ONLY with times-new-roman.
Changing the font size doesn't make any difference but using Italic and Bold
together or Italic and Underline stop the bug.
