Description apourche 2008-09-12 08:54:43 UTC
I have frequent problems unintended page break at the succession of text and
frame. That is uncertain for the same document, but the limit of crippling.
To reproduce:
- Open exPB.odt;
- Go quickly at the end of the document;
- Wait 30 s;
- Travel document
=> Blank pages appear, the total number of pages is not true, ...
-> ex : exPB.swf

That is a problem that cannot be really solved. In such a large document, the
layout has to be built up in a background thread (so that the user can work on
it though) and this can take some time until finished. You can start this
process manually by "Tools.Update.Page formatting". Then the described problem
won't appear.

Thank you for your reply.
Unfortunately, this type of behavior also appears on documents which are much
smaller that contain a lot of frames (I have an example with a document of 80
pages) ...
Using the command "Tools.Update.Page formatting" unfortunately does not solve
the problem.

'I will reopen this issue. I do not see obsolete page breaks, but I noticed
another problem which may deal with this.

When opening the attached document, OO Writer will hang for a few seconds when
scrolling across a page break (even though I triggered Page formatting manually
before).
This was not the case in OOo 2.4.1.

move target to 3.2.
