Description kai_m 2008-09-23 11:15:53 UTC
Hi,

I found the following navigation in the text of cells in spreadsheets:

Set cursor to start of text cmd+Home
Set cursor to end of text cmd+End

Set cursor to a text position one page up Page up*
Set cursor to a text position one page down Page down*

*not verifiable because the view of a cell higher than a page will not follow the cursor (issue 94221)

Set cursor to start of line Home
Set cursor to end of line End

Set cursor to start of text (in cell) cmd+Home
Set cursor to end of text (in cell) cmd+End

Set cursor to start of (previous) word -not defined-
Set cursor to end of (next) word -not defined-

This is Windows style.
In Mac OS Home, End, Page up, Page down is equivalent to moving the scrollers, so they only scroll and
don't change the focus!

On MacOS it should work like this:

Set cursor to start of text cmd+Arrow up
Set cursor to end of text cmd+Arrow down

View start of text (or start of sheet?) Home
View end of text (or end of sheet?) End

Set cursor to a text position one page up -not defined-
Set cursor to a text position one page down -not defined-

View a text position one page up (or page up the sheet?) Page up
View a text position one page down (or page down the sheet?) Page down

Set cursor to start of line cmd+Arrow left
Set cursor to end of line cmd+Arrow right

Set cursor to start of (previous) word alt+Arrow left *
Set cursor to end of (next) word alt+Arrow right *

Set cursor to start of (previous) line alt+Arrow up *
Set cursor to end of (next) line alt+Arrow down *

*alt key = Option key

On a MacBook: the home and end keys are command + arrow down/up, when they
should be function + arrow left/right. Page down/up keys are (correctly):
function + arrow up/down. Tested on OOO300_m9.
