I have a spreadsheet converted from Microsoft Excel. In one cell I put a date.
Then select this sell, copy + paste to the next cell. Dialog asks me do I want
overwrite the existing data (I don't see any data here). Answer - Yes. After
click to the formula editing line and change the first digit of the date (I have
en_GB locale, so it is the day). Then I press Enter.... and it hangs.

i have the same problem
it seems to have a certain randomness.
most often the hang up happens when you select multiple cells and typing quickly ctrl-c click on new cells and ctrl-v. also lots of copy pasting cells produce it too.
Version is 4.0.0
furthermore it happens after working some time without saving. never when just started work

(even in the write this happens when deleting and copying cells).
It seems to be related to copy / paste of windows 7

seems to happen also on Win 7 with AOO 4.0, changing fields to make it more general
