Description nicklevinson 2008-09-30 05:57:23 UTC
In a page of search results generated 9-29-08 by
http://www.openoffice.org/issues/query.cgi with Summary entered as "table edit"
(without quotes) for all strings, the page viewed with the browser set to Normal
text size, the Summaries for issues 82067 and 49596 were truncated despite the
former being 2 lines long with plenty of room. It appears 15 of the 51 results
showed truncation of their Summaries.

The Summaries are truncated by too much, so that many appear truncated, even
those that run into 2 lines on the results page and leave most of the 2d line
blank, so there's room to reduce truncation, thus lengthening many summaries and
allowing more to appear in full.

It appears that truncation occurs before the Summary is introduced onto the
results page, when it should occur only when the amount of space available on
the results page can be determined.

Thank you.
