Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 94764
hyperlink to wrong sheet, wrong cell
Last modified: 2013-01-29 21:52:44 UTC
I set a hyperlink to a spreadsheet SS with sheets '2002', '2003', ... one for each year. I specified sheet '2007' as target within the document. When I click on the hyperlink (The address is ...SS#2007), spreadsheet SS is opened at the first sheet (2002) at cell A2007, which is way down the existing data.
@tab: Please attach a sample document!

I checked with "Ooo 3.0.0 RC3 Multilingual version English UI WIN XP: [OOO300m8 (Build9357)]" and can confirm the reported effect. Same bad result with 2.4.1 Steps to reproduce: 1. Download "LinkSS.ods" and save it on HDD 2. Open new text document and save in same folder as "LinkSS.ods" 3. Type "Testlink" 4. Doubleclick on word "Testlink" 5. Menu 'Insert -> Hyperlink -> Document -> Open File -> Browse for "LinkSS.ods" and select -> Target in Document -> Sheets -> Select "2005" and <apply> 6. Close Target dialogue 7. <apply> and <close> Hyperlink dialogue 8. <cntrl>+click on word "Testlink" expected: "LinkSS.ods" should eb opened with active sheet "2005" actual: "LinkSS.ods" should eb opened with active sheet "2002" Hyperlink to Name Range 2005 (in sheet 2005) will work fine You will get the same result with links from a CALC document I believe that I already saw a report for this problem, but I can't find that other issue.
This does not look like a typical "Framework" issue, it is more located in Writer or Calc handling the hyperlink. MRU->ES: could you please have a look whether this is more a problem in Writer handling the link or if perhaps Calc is interpreting this incorrectly. Thanks!
As Rainer said, the same happens with hyperlinks inside of Calc. So the problem is how to reference correctly to File-Sheet-Area in Calc = Calc problem. Bug or user error? I don't know. @OC: please take over.
Definitively a bug, the hyperlink dialogue offers to select a sheet from the selection, but the hyperlink will not work.
I carried out exactly the same steps that "rainerbielefeld" has mentioned and it worked in the second time as in the first time the hyper text was not on the word "Testlink" so I had to do it all over again, thin it was fine. So the point is just to reference the link correctly.
