Description doc_jochim 2008-10-23 20:17:34 UTC
Hello,

if I try to use my 4way-scrollwheel of my 'microsoft notebook optical mouse
3000' to scroll any open-office-application (3.0.0, WinXPproSP3) horizontally
by tilting the scrollwheel to the left / right side, the document scrolls - but
into the wrong direction...:

Tilting the wheel to the right scrolls to the left and vice versa.

Scrolling direction is right in other applications like explorer, internet
explorer, outlook express or MS Office.

As I don't want to use my mouse upside down at the downside of my desktop to
get the right scrolling direction, scrolling direction should be corrected by
openoffice...

I have the same issue with OpenOffice 3.1.1 (build 9420) running Windows 7 through
BootCamp on my Macbook. When I try to scroll horizontally on my trackpad with 2
finger scrolling, left moves right and right moves left. This is disorienting
because up and down move in the correct direction when I scroll on the trackpad.
I've experienced the issue in all of OpenOffice's programs, but not other in
applications on my computer.

Same issue
Ooo 3.2.0 Build 9483 on Windows 7 Prof. 64bit
Logitech M305 wireless optical mouse, USB.
Using MS Driver / Touchpad Driver (Thinkpad)

Scrolls horizontal to opposite direction in OO. In other apps everything is normal.

I am using WinXP SP3, OOo v3.2.0, Logitech Cordless Mouse. It is disconcerting
to feel like I have to turn my head instead of move the paper so to speak when
all other programs work the other way around.

Hi all,

same issue here with OpenOffice 3.2.1 on Windows 7 and Apple Mighty Mouse (with
scroll ball). Vertically it works as expected (rolling the ball down is like
pulling the scroll bar down), horizontally is reversed (rolling the ball to the
right is like pulling the horizontal scroll bar to the left).

Firefox works as expected.

I have the same problem. X-ApacheOpenOffice_4.0.0_rev3. Portable Version from http://www.winpenpack.com. Microsoft Wireless Mouse 5000 with IntelliPoint Version 8.2. Windows 7 64-Bit. In all other programms it works as aspected. Only in OO horizontally scrolling is reversed.

Well, this is only in my test build so far:
https://home.apache.org/~mseidel/AOO-builds/AOO-420-Test/

It has yet to be committed to trunk.
Then the issue can be closed.
