Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 96026
Mailing list: add a new type: everyone subscribe, but only allowed posters can post.
Last modified: 2021-05-27 19:28:23 UTC
As discussed with Louis with e-mails and Stefan Taxhet directly @OOoCon2008, I'd like to propose an enhancement for the mailing list with type: a. everyone can subscribe. b. only allowed posters can post to the list transparently; without moderation. -- we can do such control for the current situation (setting ML as moderated, and give moderator right to "allowed posters", and approve by themselves, but it is very tedious) BTW: Pavel has already mentioned for that. http://council.openoffice.org/servlets/ReadMsg?list=discuss&msgNo=22 thanks!
reassign to support (as louis requested).

The described setup would be a typical configuration for working groups or committees. The idea is to allow group members to post without moderation and other to read either as subscribers to the list or as via the archive.
This feature is available in Discussions Service. Please do upgrade to the next release in CEE. Regards, Harsha Support Operations.
