Locale data for Oman [ar-OM]
Last modified: 2013-08-07 15:02:13 UTC
There is no local data for Oman.
Well, yes, maybe you could provide the data :-) For details please see http://wiki.services.openoffice.org/wiki/How_to_submit_new_Locale_Data Thanks Eike
Here we go : http://www.it46.se/localegen/locale/1233064040_acx_OM.xml
Thanks. A comment: the number formats for currency use a parenthesized form for negative amounts ([CURRENCY]#,##0.00) that usually is only correct for locales based on an en-US locale, which probably is an oversight here. Please check and correct if appropriate.
Another try : http://www.it46.se/localegen/locale/1233076272_acx_OM.xml

Thank you for your contribution. Please note that to integrate code or data contributed we need a signed Contributor Agreement form (SCA) filled-out. If you do not plan further contributions to the OOo code base that would need a signed SCA (see http://wiki.services.openoffice.org/wiki/Sun_Contributor_Agreement ) you may as well make use of the joint copyright agreement as lined out in http://www.it46.se/localegen/copyright.php @it46: For this I formally ask Alberto Escudero-Pascual to contribute the attached locale data file to the OOo code base under the JCA/SCA he signed. Thanks Eike
In cws locales32: revision 273185 i18npool/source/localedata/data/ar_OM.xml i18npool/source/localedata/data/localedata_others.map i18npool/source/localedata/data/makefile.mk i18npool/source/localedata/localedata.cxx Note that I changed ISO 639 acx-OM to ar-OM generic macrolanguage Arabic code, because so far OOo doesn't make a distinction there. When test compiling the data I got: Warning: QuotationStart and QuotationEnd are both ASCII characters. Not necessarily an error, but unusual. Warning: DoubleQuotationStart and DoubleQuotationEnd are both ASCII characters. Not necessarily an error, but unusual. Warning: QuotationStart equals QuotationEnd. Not necessarily an error, but unusual. Warning: DoubleQuotationStart equals DoubleQuotationEnd. Not necessarily an error, but unusual. Error: CurrencyID is not ISO 4217 Error: BankSymbol is not ISO 4217 I fixed CurrencyID and BankSymbol to ISO 4217 code 'OMR'. But what about the ASCII quotation characters? Usually these are some typographic quotation characters instead. Btw, noticed that all other ar_* locales use different separators: <ThousandSeparator>٬</ThousandSeparator> <DecimalSeparator>٫</DecimalSeparator> whereas ar_OM uses <ThousandSeparator>,</ThousandSeparator> <DecimalSeparator>.</DecimalSeparator> On purpose? Changed ListSeparator to ';' semicolon instead of ',' comma, for consistency. It is currently not used though.
Reassigning to QA for verification.
Verified in CWS locales32.
OK in OOO320_m7. Closed.
