Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 98782
"View->HTML source" no longer visible ever
Last modified: 2009-02-04 10:11:44 UTC
In the past there have been issues with View->HTML source not showing up until a document that has been saved as html showing up until after the document has been closed and then reopened. Now with OOo 3.0.1 it no longer shows up at all even after doing that. It appears there is no longer any way to access the View->HTML source option at all. -- This has been verified on official OOo 3.0.1.
I cannot reproduce it on OOo 3.01 Windows. Please give detailed information about your system and the stepy you take to reproduce that problem.
I tried both OOo 3.0.1 (Ubuntu debs) on Ubuntu 9.04 and the official OOo 3.0.1 debs from openoffice.org on Ubuntu 8.10 and they both did not show the View->HTML source option. I tried saving a document as html, then looking, then closing down OOo, and opening the HTML document again and it still did not show the option.
It is a diffrernce if a document is opened as HTML (Writer) or as HTML (Writer/Web) document. If you create a new Writer document, this will be saved as the first variant. you have to close it and re-open via File.Open dialog - then it will be opened as HTML (Writer/Web) and the HTML source view is available (which is not in normal Writer mode).
Closed.
I'm not sure what happened but now I can no longer reproduce the bug on 3.0.1. I was having the problem even after closing and reopening but not any more. Thanks, Chris
