PPTX_OOo_conversion_jan2009_test doesn't import well in impress there are a few problems like the font sizes that are not correctly imported. Others: - shadow effect not imported, possible with OOo counterpart of wordart ? - boxes where there aren't Made a presentation in MS Office 2007, applied a few styles and stuff. then after having made four slides with content on it, saved it. Opened it in OOo 3.0.1 and saw there where stuff not as it should be.
Created attachment 59991 [details] The presentation and some screenshots
The font sizes issue is the issue that needs the fastest, most attention because importing an MS Office 2007 powerpoint in OOo can make text hidden. This could have very big consequences for the users (loosing information is a big issue in business) and can harm the reputation of OOo a lot!!
Reproducible. Reassigned.
Created attachment 62971 [details] Same files of the powerpoint (pptx) with extra screenshots and two saves to check for a difference with selexion
Can confirm this error is still present with 3.1.0 under windows using PPT 2003 file.
Using the presentations from MS Office 2007 has improved in AOO version 4.0. There are still some serious things to implement. Text color is most noticeable, doesn't get preserved. Some small things: bullet points are on the wrong place a bit and too small. The alignment of the last text row in the third slide is wrong.
