Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 99301
Hungarian dictionary pack breaks document language selection
Last modified: 2012-01-31 00:16:51 UTC
Found in: OOo 3.0.1, 300m15, build 9379 Found on: 32bit XP, SUN JVM 6u11 (all components are in English by default) 1. Install the language pack from http://extensions.services.openoffice.org/project/hu_dicts 2. Set the default language for documents in Writer to Hungarian. 3. Quit OOo. Start a new text document. Type a single word. 4. Set the following: - Tools->Options->Languages->Default language = English (not just for the current document) - Tools->Language->For all Text->English - Styles->Paragraph->Default->Font->Language = English - Select all, Format->Character->Font->Language = English 5. As expected the language of the typed word will be set to English. But if you hit a space, and type a new word, its language will be Hungarian, regardless of the above settings. 6. Unless you uninstall the language pack, all typed words will be in Hungarian, regardless of the language settings. This applies to all new documents as well. Its not possible to write in English.
I tried in DEV310m1 English/winXP/java6_11 and same dictionary pack, no such problem.
Set to WORKSFORME.
