When trying to select several objects you can click and drag a rectangular area.
 However this doesn't scroll the page, making it harder to select objects which
are off-screen (or just partly offscreen).

Ideally it should scroll the page when the mouse cursor reaches the edge of the
visible area.

Actually the screen is scrolled but it takes two or three attempts. Maybe this
can be made something more fluent... Reassigned.
