Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 99487
Appearance of options in the "Writing Aids" preferences-window
Last modified: 2017-05-20 11:22:42 UTC
Appearance options in the preferences-window. 1.)There is a text-overflow in some of the text-fields in the different preferences sections, as fore example in the graphic-cache. 2.)In some of the list-fields the last visible item is not completely visible. The list boxes appear not to have the correct dimension
I cannot see that in my installation? Maybe you have a special resolution where OOo might misbehave? Could you please attach a screenshot?

The problem regarding the "Graphics cache" option - I can only reproduce this when having 90% Scaling in "OpenOffice.Preferences.OpenOffice.View". Setting this back to 100% will solve the problem. Do you still have the incorrectly shown box at 100%? Then please, what resolution dou you run on your Mac? This is a different problem than the "Language boxes"; please file a new issue for "Graphic cache box" (for "Framework" component) if this still occurs on your system at 100% scaling. In this issue we will focus on the language options.
MRU->OS: the Listboxes in the "Writing Aids" options should be some pixel smaller, so that the lowest entries will not be cut off. This does not look really good.
I never changed scaling. It allwas has been set to 100%. Text fields were 9mm wide. A couple of houres ago I tried bulid 9385 and the problem doesn't exist anymore, because the text filds are now 11 mm wide with the same scaling.
Reset assigne to the default "issues@openoffice.apache.org".
