Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 99503
spaces missing in exported PDF for font TheSansMonoConNormal
Last modified: 2013-02-07 22:41:27 UTC
1) Create a text area and set the font to TheSansMonoConNormal. 2) Enter some text containing spaces such as "a b c". 3) Export it to PDF. 4) Observe that it will appear as "abc" in the PDF. This doesn't happen with another font such as "Courier NEW". I am attaching a sample file and the PDF generated. The sample file contains two text areas, one using TheSansMonoConNormal and one using Courier NEW.

Note that it works perfectly in Writer but Impress has the same problem.
It happens with OOo 3.0.0 too.
Please attach the font for reproducing. Google can't find it and it is on no machine that is available to me.

Please do NOT use the font for any purpose other than reproducing the problem; I don't own the copyright to it.
Just found that it works fine on Windows XP.
I was unable to reproduce the problem with 330m19 on Ubuntu 11.04. I followed freemant’s instructions and exported pdfs from both Draw and Impress with all of the TheSansMonoCon fonts provided and the spaces appeared fine.
