Description Marcus 2009-02-26 14:25:24 UTC
When changing content on a HTML website and committing this change into CVS, it
takes a few minutes until I can see the updated website when opening it again in
the Browser.

When doing the same with a Javascript (JS) file it takes hours until I can see
the changes.

Is there a reason for this long delay and can this be changed to take also a few
minutes? Thanks.

Script files are part of the document types cached for a longer period.
You should be able to ask your browser to refresh the file (and the cache) with
a forced reload.

My browser cache is alredy at 0 KB and just reloading the file is not helping.
Tested on the SunRay and on a second PC with Linux.

Is it necessary to cache these files? Is there another solution for the problem?

I don't know what was fixed, but now it's working faster.
