Have the report be attached to the message as a MIME part (first in message)
instead of being inlined into the message.  This keeps the original message cleaner.

Even better...  to preserve the original message fully, put the complete 
original message in a message/rfc822 part, like so:

multipart/mixed
- text/plain (the report itself)
- message/rfc822 (the original message)

Excellent idea on the message/rfc822 part -- probably would have ended up doing 
exactly that once I read more MIME references, but it's nice to not have to work 
so hard :)
