It didn't work with 3.1... It does not work with 3.2... Do you use it sometimes? ;-) The buttons seem to scroll, but not to the right place. Also, I don't like the diff window docked in the Editor, because it is not large enough to see the files. I'd prefer in a separate window, like in Forte.
Well, do you use it for Java files or for some other file types ? It worked correctly only with .java and .properties files before, for other types the color highlight didn't worked. It was fixed recently, so hopefully this bug is also fixed. The diff window is docked into editor to be more compact. You can always select "Dock View Into" -> "New Single Frame".
I use it with java files and it does NOT work. I must always scroll manually the diff window to go to the highlighted area. I use NB 3.1 build 34, and I remember it didn't work also with first builds of NB 3.2. I know I can use "Dock View Into" -> "New Single Frame" but I would prefer that it is the default, else I must do it all the time because I can't see anything in the "compact" window. My editor window is sized to fit the 80 columns. This is not a major bug, but it should not be marked as "fixed" IMHO.
I've marked as fixed, because it works for me in the latest dev and release32 builds. Please test it in the latest build. If it still does not work for you, please attach the two revisions, that you are comparing.
I tried to test it in NB 3.2 build 21, but I had an exception when adding the test file in CVS :-( Perhaps a new issue should be opened, if it is not already? I join the ide.log.

Bug #11129 added for the exceptions.
Target milestone -> 3.2
No preblems with jumping to next/prev difference. if you don't like docking of diff window, pls fire a new bug/ENHANCMENT and write to nbui@netbeans.org list where those types of issue are discussed. If you give good reasons for the change it'll be implemented. there are 3 main mailing list on our opensource where users can be at the floor and direct the ide to their needs. Of'course there will be still users which can't be sattisfaid because of their very differents needs. But their cues will help in the way of what and how the ide should be customizabled. mailing lists are: nbusers@ nbdev@ nbui@netbeans.org
