When an user install a subset of some feature (Web and J2EE plugin for example) then some part is correctly present on Installed tab but rest of feature is presented in Updates tab. It may be confusing to users. The rest of feature should be presented in New Plugins tab. Updates tab should present only update of installed plugins not a missing part of plugins.
I would say that if "Ruby" is installed, then *any* addition download that ends up in "Ruby" (it isn't presented as a separate item in Installed tab) should show up as "Ruby" item in "Updates" tab. How is it possible to install just a subset of some feature? What's the difference between "updates" and "missing" parts?
After integrating issue 110566 this problem cannot happen.
