After downloading and installing Java EE 5 Tools bundle, (http://javashoplm.sun.com/ECom/docs/Welcome.jsp? StoreId=7&PartDetailId=NBEI9-505-PP9M&TransactionId=noreg), I downloaded and tried intalling Visual Web Pack. During the installation, the wizard requests that you identify the folder that Netbeans IDE was installed in. After numerous attempts at trying to point the wizard to my installation directory, VWP still will not install. Am I doing something wrong, or is there an issue with the installer for VWP? Is it because the Netbeans IDE is 5.5 instead of 5.5.1?
I figured out what the problem was. When I tried installing Visual Web Pack 5.5.1, it would not install due to my Netbeans IDE being version 5.5. I uninstalled 5.5, and installed 5.5.1, and now everything works fine.
