Description jlautz 2007-08-27 17:23:34 UTC
Seen with
Product Version: NetBeans IDE Dev (Build 200708211200) Java: 1.6.0_01; Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM 1.6.0_01-b06 System:
Windows XP version 5.1 running on x86; Cp1252; en_US (nb) Userdir: C:\Documents and Settings\lautz\.netbeans\dev

According to issue 111289, F2 is supposed to work for everything that can be renamed.

Observed behavior:
-- When a PartnerLinkType, PartnerLinkType role, Port type, operation, or message is selected, F2 only works to rename
the PartnerLinkType.
Comment 1 Shivanand Kini 2007-08-27 19:18:04 UTC
can you retry this with newer build?
Comment 2 jlautz 2007-08-27 20:25:55 UTC
Retested with Product Version: NetBeans IDE Dev (Build 200708270201) Java: 1.6.0_01; Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM
1.6.0_01-b06 System: Windows XP version 5.1 running on x86; Cp1252; en_US (nb) Userdir: C:\Documents and
Settings\lautz\.netbeans\dev

Works better, but . . .

A. ==> When an operation is selected and F2 is pressed, the editor for the operation name ends up in a weird spot. See
attached screenshot.

B. ==> When the request or response message for an operation is selected and F2 is pressed, the editor for the operation
name change appears.

Fixed this.

F2 on input/output is disabled, since there is no name editor.
F2 on fault will bring up the fault name editor.

Tried to verify with Product Version: NetBeans IDE 6.0 Beta 1 (Build 200709041200) Java: 1.6.0_01; Java HotSpot(TM)
Client VM 1.6.0_01-b06 System: Windows XP version 5.1 running on x86; Cp1252; en_US (nb) Userdir: C:\Documents and
Settings\lautz\.netbeans\6.0beta1

B is fixed, but A. is not. The Operation name editor still ends up in a weird spot when you click F2 when the Operation
is selected.
Comment 6 Shivanand Kini 2007-10-26 01:13:59 UTC
B seems to be fixed too. Can you retry with a newer build?
