[ JDK VERSION : 1.6.0_02 ] It's not enough to have the summary of an issue in it's editable text field. Most annoying: We must position the cursor into the field and "scroll" it by the arrow keys if there are some more than a few words. Additionally it would be nice, to have the summary in the browser's window title.
I'm not sure I exactly understand what you are requesting. Do you want to increase the size of the summary field ? Note that any RFEs for IZ are likely to be treated with low priority, if not outright rejected by Collab, as it is in "maintenance mode", meaning it will be replaced with a new issue tracking system soon. Hence they do not want to spend effort on any RFEs. RE: summary in html title : Jesse requested this some years ago, Collab responded that it would be addressed in a future release (sigh). Meanwhile Jesse wrote a GreaseMonkey script to enable this, I use it myself. See issue 57291.
> Do you want to increase the size of the summary field ? This would also be nice, but mostly I want a copy of it's _complete_ content at the top of the page in big letters jumping in my eyes _at_first_. E.g. right of the issue no. in the blue bar.
ulfzibis, I'll attach updated greasemonkey script originally from issue 57291 slightly updated to support your need.
Created attachment 51981 [details] Update script to show issue summary in h2 in fat bold
Created attachment 51982 [details] Screenshot of fat bold description in the top blue bar
Now it should be only the matter of installing Greasemonkey extension to your Firefox and then installing the attached user script. So if you don't have Greasemonkey firefox extension installed, point your browser to https://addons.mozilla.org/cs/firefox/addon/748 and click Install button. Installation may require browser restart to take effect. After that click on link http://www.netbeans.org/nonav/issues/showattachment.cgi/51981/fixissuezillapagetitles.user.js and let it install this Greasemonkey extension. PS: I don't really know if there's similar/same functionality for MS Internet Explorer.
Wow, that's very cool :-) I didn't know Greasemonkey before. Thanks a lot for your investment. -Ulf
This was actually my first Greasemonkey work. I knew GM is cool, but never had time to look at it before. Marking this issue RESOLVED FIXED. Feel free to re-open, but be advised that Issuezilla product, which is in use here, has been put into 'sustaining-only' mode by CollabNet (our server hosting company). That means only critical bugfixes can be done (understand 'no coding possible').
We recently moved out from Collabnet's infrastructure
