When I start netbeans, it mostly flies through loading all of the modules. It still takes a little while, but it's rather quick, I think. With a visible exception: the CVS Command-Line Client Support module seems to take a significantly longer time to load than the other modules. It seems to take about 3 seconds whereas the other modules seem to load in 300-800 msec.
I'm not sure, that you can rely on the status text printed on startup. vcscvs module is by chance the last module loaded. After that "Opening project Default" is written for me. Do you see this message also? The loading of CVS Command-Line Client Support takes only a fraction of a second for me! It seems to me, that vcscvs module is loaded quickly, but then the IDE does some more work (opening projects, etc.) I close this issue as invalid, because this does not happen for me and I don't think, that the status report is correct in your case. A proper measurement of the startup process would be necessary. Added CC: to Petr Nejedly - since you did some performance tests, please reopen this issue with some more details if you have found any problems in startup time. Thanks.
Verified as invalid. It does not have any connection to CVS Command-line Client. Build #199 of NetBeans.
