This appears to be a vista specific issue. It occurs most often using Zip builds where you have to configure glassfish before creating a project. Steps: 1. Download a zip build and unzip it 2. start the ide (new userdir) 3. Create a project (add glassfish on the fly) Designer shows Missing body element. You can work around the issue by pressing the refresh button on the designer.
If this does not happen with installer build and there is a workaround should this be a P2?
Probably not. I would like a general release note to vista users about this and issue 120228 since they seem to be related.
When I switched to jdk 1.6.0_03 I got a slightly different error. I got: java.lang.IllegalStateException: Application was not properly initialized at startup, could not find Factory: javax.faces.application.ApplicationFactory at javax.faces.FactoryFinder.getFactory(FactoryFinder.java:256) Attaching the log.
