In NetBeans 6.0 there are three high-level filters that control the content of the Task List: 1. Show tasks for currently edited file only 2. Show tasks for the main project and for the opened projects on which it depends 3. Show tasks for all opened projects It would be great to have one more available: Show tasks for currently edited file and its project only This would allow the user to open a project and *not* have to set it as the main project. Files could be edited in that project and the task list would just show tasks for that project. For more info., see this thread on nbusers: http://www.netbeans.org/servlets/BrowseList?list=nbusers&by=thread&from=821496
in nb 6.5 when no project is set as main then 'main project' scanning scope in task list window behaves as 'current project', i.e. showing tasks from project of currently selected file.
