I can successfully mount the Netbeans anonymous CVS server filesystem and I can successfully use WinCVS to access my Redhat 7.1 cvs pserver. However, when attempting to mount the Redhat 7.1 cvs pserver from FF4J I get a login failed error message. How can I see what command the UI is issuing to help debug this problem? Thanks, -john.
To resolve this bug please provide us with following information: 1. What windows do you use ? (W2K/NT/95/98/ME) 2. Do you have environment variables HOMEDRIVE and HOMEPATH set to point to the place where your .cvspass file resides with read-write access ? 3. Aren't you behind a firewall/proxy ? Hints: ====== * Move your mouse to textfield saying that "Login failed." and wait for a while to see the tooltip. It will perhaps give you more details about the problem. * Download NetBeans 3.2 and check it out there.
On Windows 95/98 this is a known bug in FFJ 2.0. On other OS it works for us. The workaround is to proceed offline and login on a command-line. Then change the offline mode to false.
Hello John, thanks for reporting the problem, but frankly speanking we can't simulate this problem(on RH7.x is change the way how to setup and run cvs pserver:-(, and that is) I'd like to reopne this bug to not forget for it, but on the other hands FFJ20 is little bit obsolete, so I'm only assigning this bug to me.
I was able to mount CVS pserver running on linux based on RedHat 7.0 as the localhost in FFJ20 without any problem. Because reporter of this bug didn't come with more details about this bug and for all of as here it WORKS I'm closing this bug as worksforme
