I wanted to see what would happen if I deleted my java files from my CVS 
working directory -- mainly I wanted to be sure that deleted files could be 
recovered from a CVS repository.  When I ran my test, a 
java.lang.IndexOutOfBoundsException occurred when I updated my mounted CVS 
directory.  The error box suggested that I submit a bug report about the error.

It's a duplicate of the issue #14172.
The further exceptions are probably consequences of this bug.
