Description _ gtzabari 2001-07-21 18:06:18 UTC
dev build 200107200740
IBM JDK 1.3

I have customised the look of my editor (changed background color, etc).. But when I restart netbeans, these new settings are gone (the default ones are in place)..
The only way I can get my l&f to return is to open TOOLS -> OPTIONS and close it again which seems to force the editor to import the saved settings.

This used to work on last week's build.

Another issue related to the new settings.

Comment 4 _ gtzabari 2001-07-31 16:18:13 UTC
Issue is back in dev build 200107310100
Comment 5 Jan Zajicek 2001-08-01 14:14:42 UTC
I cannot reproduce it in dev #20010801. Please verify if it is
reproducible in latest dev build and with new userdir on your side and
if it will work, please close this issue. This should be realy fixed.
Comment 6 _ gtzabari 2001-08-01 18:03:53 UTC
Reproduced under dev 200108010100, Sun JDK 1.3.1, WinNT 4.0 with a
fresh UserDir

I assume I'd run into the same results with IBM's JDK 1.3 for OS/2

I have a feeling we might be looking in the wrong place..

I just noticed two quirks which lead me to believe this is ANOTHER
issue and not related to the original problem.

1) when the Welcome dialog box pops up on start, I toggle it off so
it shouldn't come back when I return next time. It returns anyway..

2) When I hit TOOLS -> OPTIONS, editor options is now completely
missing. Its object is gone.

This leads me to believe there is some sort of major serialization
issue involved.

I'll open a seperate issue for this.

Build 200108010100, Sun jdk 1.3.1, Solaris -> works for me, all
settings for editor are restored and the Editor settings node is present.
