I got this complain from community member in Japan. I'm using NetBeans 6.1 without network connection. Help -> Check for Updates always says "Your IDE is up to date! There are no updates available." But it's not useful message. Because IDE didn't check the updates. I think it's better to provide more useful message for users when it's offline.
Reassigning to the new "autoupdate/*" owner dlipin.
Now if update will fail, corresponding message will be displayed with some most common suggestion on how to solve the problem.
