[dev sep 25] Created a build with no modules (ant -Dmodules=
build-nozip). Ran with a clean user dir; ignored settings import
wizard; selected MDI in setup wizard; clicked off "Show Tips of the
Day" and closed this dialog; then closed Main Window to exit IDE. Ran
again with same user dir. Got exception during startup.

It can't happen anymore as I removed saving of NbProject (there is 
nothing to save actually). To be sure I followed your instructions 
without encountering any problem. Making invalid.
