Description Ben Waggoner 2001-09-27 07:33:25 UTC
Simple as that. Trying to boot netbeans using either command line listed
in the FAQ causes the Aqua UI to crash and reboot. Yes, that's the UI for
the whole OS, not just the application. Didn't know this was even
possible!

Can you provide more information, i.e the ide.log file (can be found
under {userdir}/system). Assigning to Tomas.

Hmm, if the Java program can cause a reboot then it must be a bug
elsewhere either in the JVM or in the OS itselfe. I doubt we can do
anything about it
Comment 3 Tomas Hurka 2001-09-27 13:47:53 UTC
I have the same feeling, that we cannot do anything. I suspect that
this is not bug in JVM and/or core OS, but corrupted installation.

I note that your Mac OS X install docs haven't been updated for MacOS X
10.1 (which now has Java 1.3.1 instead of 1.3). I may have not done it
right.

Probably should get someone who is more of a netbeans expert than I am
to try and get it running under 10.1. I'm also filing an issue
against the
documentation for this.

Quite possibly. I'm also filing this with Apple.

I had no problem running Netbeans 3.2.1 on prerelease version of 10.1
(build 5G27). Please, describe how did you install Netbeans and how
did you run it. Thanks.
