Description lmw 2009-03-25 10:57:59 UTC
Each time when I install Netbeans,I need update from internet, although I can install downloaded plugins, but most
time, just can't find where to download the plugins in one single nbm format.

1,update each time from internet is boring, and if the network is poor, that is trouble.
2,install and uninstall is quite often if someone like to test the newest version of NB.
3,sometimes,people have to install the NB in a computer which is not connected to internet.

so,I hope there is a tool to export installed plugins,or download the plugin into one nbm(or compose nbms into a zip file)

Thanks.

I agree that this might be handy. Fortunately, if you install new version of NetBeans all the settings from the previous
version are imported upon your confirmation. In addition to that you can simply copy old NetBeans <userdir>/modules
directory and put it to the new user directory.

I would like to have it too. This feature is really needed. I use dev builds and portable versions of netbeans. When I download and extract a new version of netbeans, my instance will not find installed plugins. Maybe one or two but these are not enough. I have to download 3rd-party-plugins which I can't download via the plugin manager and I have to compare my old netbeans instance with the new one to find all plugins. It would be very nice and helpful, if we can have a plugin exporter. You can check all or some plugins to export them. And then I can import those exported plugins into an other instance. Voted for this.
