There's no effect when I click the "..." button in the value part of watch (works only if the watch's value is null). Neither can I select the value in order to copy it to the clipboard.
The dots work fine for me. Can you please specify your operating system, Java version and L&F? The "..." buttons are created by property sheet, not by debugger.
Windows XP, Java 1.6.14 Found something that might help. The "..." button works fine, when the watches panel is "pinned" and it doesn't when it popped up from the bottom.
Cannot reproduce, works for me even if watches panel is not pinned.
Please check out http://statistics.netbeans.org/analytics/exception.do?id=215458 This is exception report from my NetBeans. Sometimes this exception appears when I press the "..." button in the watches, but usually it doesn't.
exception was already fixed .... reporter if you are still able to reproduce the problem please reopen this issue with new informations - thanks in advance.
I can reproduce this bug in 6.7.1 and 6.8m1 Here's a screen movie of it: http://www.eumus.com/1.avi Notice that I can click the "..." at the null value and the value window pops up. When I click it at the string value, the whole watch line blinks and no window appears. I can't either set focus rectangle to that value, and it's really frustrating because I can't copy the value to clipboard (though I can copy the whole watch).

Thanks for the video.
Reproducible if watches in sliding mode.
Problem in Outline or Property editor...
I've tested it on Windows Vista according to the video with both Variables and Watches in sliding mode in build #201004100201. It seems to be already fixed, because it works without problems for me. Please verify in a recent dev build or 6.9 beta.
