My laptop has a touchpad which is programmed to scroll horizontally when dragged along the bottom of the pad.  In addition, I have a mouse with a scroll wheel you can tilt left and right to scroll horizontally.

In other applications, this scrolls the view pane horizontally, but in netbeans, it pops up a context menu.

Not a NetBeans problem. Reproducible in other Java apps.
