This plagued me on Netbeans 6.5 and 6.7, it seemed to be fixed in 6.8 but now makes a re-appearance in 6.9.

The difference though, is that with earlier versions I'd get some exception (red icon in the bottom right hand corner), but now I get nothing.
The options window just doesn't open up.

Might have something to do with an earlier bug I reported (also for 6.9) where right clicking on a project and selecting 'properties' does nothing but raises no exception either.

Please specify your 6.9 version as well attach you messages.log here. Probably you are facing some exception in the log which is avoiding the options dialog to be shown.

Product Version: NetBeans IDE Dev (Build 201002152000)

Do you want all of the log (its a lot of stuff)?
Comment 3 Michel Graciano 2010-02-17 11:53:31 UTC
Yes, will be necessary the entire log. To make this more readeable, close and reopen the IDE and try to reproduce the issue. If it is possible, attach the log file in this issue just after that, to avoid lot of trash in the log, and yes, it probably will be huge. :-D

Figured out the problem, its a windowing issue.

On my work setup, my large monitor is on the right, but at my home office its on the left ... I do all my coding work on the large monitor, so when I open the properties window it opens there.

The problem is that the windows don't adjust accordingly ... so when I go home and open the properties dialog ... its basically opening on the imaginary monitor off to the far right (like it was at work) ... but I can't see it because the monitor is off to the left.

Thought you'd like to know. Don't know if its worth fixing though.
