Description Jan Becicka 2001-12-05 17:25:14 UTC
[200112050331]
New Class Wizard, step 4.:
1. Create at least 2 fields
2. Select one field and delete it.
3. Try to use Alt-l -> It is not clear, if the list gets focus -> some field
should be selected.
Comment 1 Jiri Mzourek 2001-12-06 13:19:44 UTC
Filip, could you look on it? Seems to me like standard behavior.
Comment 2 Filip Rachunek 2001-12-06 13:31:09 UTC
I looked at it, the behavior of this panel looks absolutely normal to me.
Could you be more specific about what is not clear?
Comment 3 Jan Becicka 2001-12-07 09:45:07 UTC
It could be JList issue. IMO some field should be selected after
invoking Alt-l.
1. Create at least 2 fields
2. Select one field and delete it.
3. Try to use Alt-l -> List of fields gets focus, but no field is
selected and thus is not clear, that this list is focused. I've
reported this bug, because I thaught, that this mnemonic does not
work at all. Alt-l works, but sometimes it is not clear (no visible
clue), that the list gets focus after invoking alt-l.
Comment 4 Filip Rachunek 2001-12-07 10:21:14 UTC
There is a workaround - after using ALT-L [when a list selection is
empty], pressing up arrow should select the row.
But if this issue is to be fixed, it should be probably addressed to
OpenIDE team since the list is of org.openide.explorer.view.ListView type.
Comment 5 Filip Rachunek 2001-12-10 10:22:22 UTC
Reassigned.
Comment 6 Jan Zajicek 2001-12-10 13:17:06 UTC
Passing to explorer subcomponent.
Comment 7 jrojcek 2001-12-12 15:16:41 UTC
Mnemonic works well. Problem is that there isn't visual indication
that JList has focus. That is clearly JDK issue and won't be fixed in NB.
