Recommendation is to have the NetBeans IDE validate a more complete set of XML-Related Files.

Case Study:

  XML Copy Editor (http://xml-copy-editor.sourceforge.net/)validates the following types of files:
    DTD/XML SChema
    RelaxNG
    docbook
    docbookxi
    tei_all
    tei_minimum
    xhtml-strict
    xhtml
    xmlschema
    xslt
