IBM JDK 1.3

I set EXPLORER as an MDI frame attached to the left. Upon restarting, it is a
non-attached MDI frame.

Furthermore, there are instances when the EXPLORER frame is _not_ attached yet
when I right click on it -> Attach as MDI FRAME, "left" is grayed out (all other
choices are enabled). Why is "left" grayed out if there is nothing attached to
the left border and the frame is unattached itself?
