When an alert appears while you are in different desktop than the one netbeans is on, the alert goes to your current desktop, but if you try to click it you go to the netbeans desktop. The problem is that the "OK" button cannot be pressed, and in the midtime netbeans is not respoding (as it expects the button to be pressed on the alert dialog). Scenario: Using macos with multiple desktops created in mission control, open net beans in desktop 1. Open a project with an ftp connection (and disable the ignore timeout error option). Go to desktop 2 and wait until a timeout alert appears. At that point, the only way to use netbeans is to use mission control to move the main IDE window to desktop 2, so it get synced with the alert dialog and you can then press ok. Product Version = NetBeans IDE 7.1 (Build 201112051121) Operating System = Mac OS X version 10.7.3 running on x86_64 Java; VM; Vendor = 1.6.0_29 Runtime = Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM 20.4-b02-402
