Description johnjamesjacoby 2013-04-16 08:32:31 UTC
Since 7.3, I've been unable to "Choose" a directory in several circumstances:

* Opening a project via File > Open Project
* Creating a new project via File > New Project
* Any other place where a native-looking dialogue box needs to select a folder VS a single file.

In some places, I'm able to work around this by choosing a file within the folder, and then manipulating the path in the input field (like when creating new projects) but in cases where the dialogue is invoking the action directly (opening an existing project) it's actually impossible to do, and completely broken.

It's completely possible there's something unique to my Netbeans installation that's caused this, though I haven't modified anything in the Netbeans 7.3 package directly.

Happy to provide any other details that might be helpful to y'all.

Please go to Preferences - Miscellaneous - Windows and try turning Maximize use of native look and feel option off.
Reopen if the problem is still reproducible then, thanks.

That fixed it. Thanks.
