Description jyonkheel 2014-01-29 18:22:56 UTC
i am developing PHP websites and JAVA programs using a windows 8 tablet, unfortunately when i swipe on the code it doesn't scroll but just selects the text. another would be the UI, it would be great if netbeans would support full fledged touchscreen mode where all icons are enlarged. lastly is the onscreen keyboard, the default windows 8 onscreen keyboard keeps on suggesting human words, is it possible for netbeans have netbean suggest auto complete code there?. lastly if feasible, would it be possible to have netbeans it's own swipe onscreen keyboard with code autocomplete, rather than using windows 8 default non-swipe keyboard.
swiping vs typing code seems interesting to me, also wouldn't it be great if we could develop programs without the need of mouse and physical keyboard and just you and your tablet. my typing speed is faster on swype android onscreen keyboard compared to normal typing but in android i would be typing human words and not code

welp here come another additional touch screen request feature, during coding in touchscreen some times i find it difficult to re-position the text cursor in the code, it is because the font size is small and my finger is just way too big compared to it, in android this is solved by pinching in the webpage and zooming in in the text field letting you more accurately position the text cursor within the text field, and pinching out to zoom out of the web page back to the normal view. letting you quickly zoom-in and zoom-out out on the fly is really convenient in re-positioning text cursor

i have been programming with my windows 8 tablet for quite a while now, i can say that i have gotten used to the program in the stock virtual keyboard, but yet again another issue with it, i had to move the keyboard from one place to another when the code cursor goes underneath the always on-top virtual keyboard, my coding shouldn't be interrupted only if the virtual keyboard was semi transparent and i can see through the virtual keybaord,

in a nutshell semi-transparent virtual keyboard
