Description Marian Petras 2002-06-24 16:59:54 UTC
1. Open the Options dialog.
2. Expand node "IDE Configuration / Look and Feel
/ Actions / Edit".
3. Expand node "IDE Configuration / Look and Feel
/ Menu Bar / Edit".
4. Expand node "IDE Configuration / Look and Feel
/ Toolbars / Edit".

Names of the actions, menu items and toolbar
buttons contain ampersands (&).

this is not a bug. The ampersand serves as the way for users to
customize the mnemonic for the action. They can rename actions and
give them different mnemonics.
Comment 2 Marian Petras 2002-06-25 11:24:46 UTC
No, they cannot rename actions. They can rename just names of menus
and submenus (but not simple menu items!), nothing more.
Comment 3 _ ttran 2002-06-25 12:08:48 UTC
I see. But if "&" is displayed elsewhere and it's okay, then why not
in Actions? AFAICT it is this way from the beginning of the IDE. The
names of the actions indeed contain the '&' chars and are displayed as
such. They are interpreted as mnemonics when displayed in menu.
Comment 4 _ ttran 2002-06-25 12:18:34 UTC
IMO this is just the way it is. Action names are displayed with
embedded mnemonic prefixed by ampersand. Not a bug.
