I can not log in cvs server of "cvs.netbeans.org", i use wincvs1.2, use the command line "cvs -d:pserver:cvs.netbeans.org:/cvs login",password is Empty, bue I can not log in the server,WHY? Can you help me ?
The login line you have here is not correct, you are missing a username. Full details are at http://www.netbeans.org/devhome/sources/cvs.html, but basically try something like : cvs -d :pserver:anoncvs@cvs.netbeans.org:/cvs login If that does not work, pls provide some more info : - are you behind a firewall, or using a proxy ? - what *exactly* happens, what msgs do you see ? If the command above does work, pls close this issue. Thanks.
via email : -- > I can not log in the server use the command > "cvs -d :pserver:anoncvs@cvs.netbeans.org:/cvs login" > the message is "connect to server cvs.netbeans.org time out". > why? > BTY, I use dial up connection. -- "connection time out" means there is a problem with your dial up connection - you are not able to reach the server. Are you behind a firewall ? You might need to ask your internet service provider if they allow cvs connections.
Obviously obsolete.
