Description ssffleming 2002-10-21 20:43:47 UTC
IDE does not start up. Perhaps wrong binary is on xtest.netbeans.org
I have not tried building my own since my machine is not configured to build xtest.
I am trying to upgrade from a somewhat older version of Xtest that I have used for Sierra
testing.

Part of the IDE trace that looks interesting is below:

Steve, can you be more specific? What build of Dublin did you use and
when did you download XTest?

I'm also filing a new issue against XTest, since there is no
conveninent way how to discover whtehr the XTest you are using is in
the correct version for given build.

Hi Martin,

I downloaded yesterday. I've tried ee builds from both Oct 10 and Oct 17.

Steve, could you try to use even a bit newer build? Just a while ago I
just received test results from today's Dublin build (trunk) and I
can't see nothing exceptional if I compare it to NetBeans. Just FYI
netbeans tests are passing 83.7% on today's dublin.

Actually, does the build work if you run it manually ?

Seems to work on Oct. 21 build...it may be the dependency problems fixed
in this build somehow fixed the problem seen running under XTest?
I'm using the exact same XTest setup etc. I tell Misha too, since he was
having some problems also.
